Our San Bernardino Attorneys have been representing criminal defendants in both State and Federal courts since 1989. Our lead Attorney, Reginald E. Alberts, Esquire, was elected President of the Inland Trial Lawyers’ Association in 1993,1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000. That association was comprised of a dedicated group of Criminal Defense Experts who represented defendants accused of both felonies and misdemeanors.
Let one of our attorneys, with their experience and professionalism, guide you through the legal maze. Our attorneys work with and know the Judges, the District Attorneys and the courts’ staffs where your case will go to trial, if necessary.
Infractions or Misdemeanors:
If you have been accused of a Misdemeanor or a traffic infraction, our Attorneys can appear in Court without you. We will make all court appearances, review the police reports with you and then provide you with options. Your job will be to select the option that best fits with your lifestyle, goals and financial means.
Felonies:
If you have been accused in State or Federal Court of a felony offense you must appear with your attorney at all court hearings. Our experienced attorneys will gather and share with you all police reports concerning their investigation and witness's interviews, obtain copies of any scientific evidence and conduct our own investigation with our in house investigators.
When a client is charged with a felony, our seasoned attorneys are adept at plea bargaining. Our trial attorneys have learned over the years the true "value" of your case in the legal system. In addition, never underestimate the value of being able to effectively present a case to a jury. Our excellent record of jury verdicts promotes the best plea bargains.
Trial Rights:
A Defendant accused of a crime has the absolute right to take their case to trial. A trial can either be in front of a judge or a jury of twelve citizens from our community. Mr. Alberts has tried over 100 cases before juries and many others before a judge. Having the right legal team will help direct you through the legal system efficiently.

Criminal Defense
We believe that all people, regardless of race, creed, religion, color, class or ability to pay, should be entitled to the same quality of legal representation that the wealthiest individuals in our society can and do acquire. There should be no “class system” in American justice, where the wealthy corporations and insurance companies hire the “best” attorneys.
Whether it be criminal defense, personal injury, business litigation, construction defect, medical or dental malpractice, employment discrimination, or torts such as defamation, battery, excessive force by police, unlawful search and seizure, or premises liability, etc., the Alberts have tried them all before juries throughout the state of California, and won!
Our comprehensive approach has resulted in an outstanding rate of success, including many multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements.
Our Philosophy
Our Attorneys believe that everyone is entitled to justice, not just the rich or the big corporations able to pay huge legal bills. We take the fact that we, as lawyers, took an oath to uphold the United States Constitution, which includes your right to trial by a jury of your peers.
We strive to ensure that you feel that you are receiving excellent quality legal representation and that you are not further victimized by the system itself. Justice can, and should, be blind.

What is negligence?
Negligence is failure to take proper care in doing something as well as conduct that falls below the standards of behavior established by law for the protection of others against unreasonable risk of harm.
In order to prove negligence there are a few factors that must be established:
-
A person that had a duty to fulfill and did not do so. Example: A person operating their vehicle in an unsafe manner.
-
Damage - A person or property must have suffered damage. If there is no injury or damage, there is no case.
-
Proof - Proving that the cause of the injuries or damages are a result of the other person's negligence.
Proving negligence may seem easy at first glance but usually it is not. If you believe your injuries were caused by negligence, contact our attorneys for a case evaluation to see if filing personal injury is right for you.

How much is my case worth?
Determining how much a case is worth is a very difficult process that is determined by several different factors. Some of these include the severity of the injury, the limits on insurance and other details on the case.
Proving liability is another factor that may seem like the most straightforward part of the claim, howerver, proving liability is based mostly on evidence (medical records, discrepancies on the testimonials, and even the integrity of the person that is injured!)
If liability is proven, then case value is measured in the following areas:
-
Lost wages
-
Pain and suffering
-
Future medical bills
-
Past medical bills
-
Loss of earning capacity
Our attorneys deal with personal injury cases on a day to day basis and can easily give you a case evaluation to determine if filing for personal injury is right for you. Don't hesistate to give us a call. We will fight for you.
